VISION NIGHT 2.0

Join us for Vision Night 2.0 a time to celebrate how far we’ve come in our vision of finding a family for every child in OC, and learn about the next phase of the vision. If you have been considering the role you can play in serving vulnerable children, this night is for you!

This evening will feature special guest Daren Jones from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, Deputy Director Scott Burdick from Social Services, Education Leader/advocate Sen. Gloria Romero and Ministry Leaders from all over Orange County. You won’t want to miss this historic event.

The original Zero by 2020 vision launched on August 22, 2017, with the first phase of recruiting families to provide a home for children in need. Since then we have seen a substantial increase in the number of new families helping. It’s now time to enter the next phase of increasing the amount of trauma-informed care to support all the families hosting traumatized children in their homes.

You’ll learn about best practices for serving hurting people of all ages through a community-wide collaborative effort.

Learning trauma-informed care techniques is essential for bringing relational healing that transforms the community at the root level. Recently Texas Christian University (TCU) has partnered with stakeholders in Orange County to equip churches with the gold-standard in trauma-informed care called Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) and is packed with proven evidence-based tools to understand and heal relational injuries.

This information is invaluable, and not just for working with vulnerable youth. If you work with veterans, refugees, vulnerable children, immigrants, homeless, victims of trafficking, racism, abuse or natural disasters they all have some things in common—TRAUMA! Come discover how to disarm fear and build trust with those who have suffered injustice. There is something for everyone who wants to be equipped to heal hurts.

Don’t miss this incredible evening – see what happens when a community says lets, “Find a Family for Every Child and Equip the Church to Support Them!”
